Especially in the northern part of Ireland (not Northern Ireland) you come a cross quite a few acres of bogland. There you often  see rural people at work in the old tradition of cutting peat. The peat is then piled up in order to dry before one can use it to burn in a fireplace, very often seen in colder days at local pubs across the country.

Riding the roads of Iceland is not always an easy task, but it's an adventure, and you will not forget it for the rest of your life. And one thing is for certain: you will feel alive!

"It's not dark yet, but it's getting there..."
                                                   Bob Dylan
